Arrival, Orientation, Adventure

Hello from the Global USA Team!

We hope your Orientation experience was helpful and exciting! Our goal was to get you completely set-up to have a successful academic career at the University of South Alabama. If you loved Orientation week and/or feel that there are ways we could improve, please let us know! Below are some follow-up items for you to consider after Orientation has come to a close.

Academic Advising

All faculty and staff at the University of South Alabama believe that advising is an extremely important factor in academic success. Our knowledgeable team of advisors at the University will help you to make smart choices and provide guidance at each stage of your academic career. Please know that you are responsible for selecting your courses, meeting graduation requirements, and adhering to the University's policies and procedures. You have completed advising for your first semester during Orientation, but make sure you are familiar with your department's advisor(s) so you are able to schedule an appointment mid-semester to prepare for the following semester. You can find your advisors information, make appointments, and more on the PAWS website.

You can also visit the Academic Advising & Transfer Services  Academic Advising & Transfer Services website to find great information on preparing for your first advising appointment and get helpful advising tips here!
